A WORD FROM OUR GUESTS...
The Guardian's view...
“Ooh, it's a G-plan cave, a
cool blend of rough
whitewashed stone and
glass. Beside a
Norwegian Jotul woodburner are baskets of peat and logs. A Vitra chair by Mario Bellini is covered by a sheepskin throw and sits invitingly beside shelves bearing Scottish titles.”
Sally Shalam, The Guardian
We missed heaven!
"We missed you and heaven for the five years since our last visit! But nothing much has really changed except your children are bigger. Lovely food, company and luxurious room - a completely different and unbelievably beautiful natural world. We'll stay for six months next time and see if we run out of conversation."
David & Margaret, London, 2018
So kind and welcoming
"We've had a wonderful time! You are both so kind and welcoming - what would we have done without your advice for our memorable climb up Beinn Ghoblach on
a lovely day with views to die for."
John & Susan, 2018
A perfect stay
"Everything we hoped it would be and more. Full stomachs, well rested heads and bellies aching from laughter. Thank you Pauline and Seori for an enlightening experience and perfect stay."
Nicola and Justin, 2018
It feels like we are home...
"Sounds of silence and natural elements only - with amazing landscapes and great conversations. The perfect place for sleeping and a relaxing retreat - we had a wonderful stay with you and it feels like we are home with friends. Thanks a lot for your great cooking and for your warm and exciting company."
Pierre & Serine, Paris, 2018
So kind and welcoming
"What a beautiful time at The
Peatcutter's Croft. Although we're afraid
of finding no other place in Scotland with such enormous hospitality, we have to move on. Thanks a lot for the peaceful magic, the funny animals, the delicious breakfast and dinner - and especially your company."
Dirk & Guni, Munich, 2018
A special place...
"Thank you for showing us the face of the Highlands you don't see in the travel brochures - the warmth of welcome, care and commitment to the special place and the bonds of community that hold you together. We greatly enjoyed our stay - along with the wonderful conversations and dinner."
Jenna & Margaret, Australia, 2016
Great value!
"Our visit to The Peatcutter's Croft in June 2018 turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had on holiday. The location on the hills above Loch Broom is idyllic and both Pauline and Seari were the perfect hosts. The accommodation was very comfortable and quite unique for a B&B. We had our own entrance to a spacious bedroom with ensuite facilities offering not only a shower but a bath as well. Our dog, Jennie, was made very welcome too. To cap it all, the weather was absolutely perfect. The highlight of our stay, however, was the banter at breakfast and the evening meals. We ate with the family in their own kitchen. Pauline is a wonderful chef and our meals were far above the standard of many hotels, never mind B&Bs. Seari's boiled eggs for breakfast were were cracking. All in all we intend to go back. Great value for money as well."
